Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 battles can range from easy to mega hard. With the early game being more a chore than a challenge. Even so, you may be struggling. Here are Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 tips.
Here’s a free tip outside of the others. If you love the Anime, don’t play this game until you’ve watched the whole of the Pain arc. Same with the Manga. This game has huge spoilers. And the Anime usually has better sequences. Even though it’s 2D.

Focus on the Main Mission
Don’t worry too much about the other side-quests when going through the story. It is perfectly possible to complete the story without investing time in the other requests. A few requests are time hogs that can take away from your enjoyment. Also, the more rewarding requests need you to unlock all the areas before you can complete them.
Pick up Everything
On the ground, in vases and drops from birds, all contain important items. You can exchange these items at the item store for access to buy better equipment. Other uses for dropped items are that you can use it at the various restaurants. This will unlock new Bento boxes with stronger benefits.
Keep a constant eye out for these item drops. As you progress through the game, there will be more opportunity to snag these items. A few items are only available at the end of the game. However, the ones you have access to should be more than enough.
Chakra Management
Your chakra pool is used to perform special moves that have greater power than the standard attacks. It also allows you to use substitute Jitsu to dodge attacks. As well as double dash to close up on your foe.
Whenever you have a moment, charge your Chakra pool (Y on Nintendo Switch). If you are running low and have access to either support items or support teammates, use them to buy you time. Substitute Jitsu is a powerful technique that can save you lots of health and allow you to start a counterattack.
Preparation
When you first battle an enemy, make sure that you have full health. You can go to Iruka’s Ramen shop to recoup health. Or if you can’t make it there, use Ointments to replenish your health.
Next, keep a variety of Ninja tools on your person. I usually have a Fire tag, Kunai rain, then two other tools that suit the current enemy.

Fight the enemy without using Bento boxes. Get a feel for the enemy attack pattern. Do they use a lot of Chakra? Do they guard a lot? Do they use team support. If you win without a Bento, you’ve saved yourself an item. If you haven’t then equip Ninja tools that are helpful.
Such as Power Monchi, if the enemy guards a lot. If the enemy uses a lot of Chakra use Kunai tools to disrupt them from charging. Etc
Team Support
You should use Team Support sparingly. Don’t just use it because it is there. Each team member has its own class:
- Balanced
- Attack
- Defence
Attack types are very useful for disrupting Chakra recharges. They can disrupt a buildup for a ninjitsu. Especially important when your health is running low. Another use is to stop an opponent attacking you when you are either charging chakra or a powerful attack.
Defence types are a great at breaking out of an enemy combo or ninjitsu. If you are being pounded, use it to break you out of it. Another use is when you are charging your chakra, as they can prevent enemy attacks.
Balanced types are a cross between the two. I don’t like using them as I’ve never found a situation where having one attack and one defence hasn’t been enough.
Successful team support builds up the team support bar. Once full, it activates team combo mode. Whenever you use a ninjitsu or team support attack, there is a high chance that it will be followed up by a teammate, which causes massive damage. This is especially effective towards the end of the game.
